Hugh Svendsen - founder/ceo

 

Hugh Svendsen is an accomplished inventor with150+ issued patents. He was a co-founder and CEO of Concert Technology Corporation, a consumer electronics company developing digital media solutions for mobile devices. Prior to Concert, Hugh was the CTO for Flashpoint Technology, a company focused on creating digital camera operating systems. Hugh has over 30 years of experience as a research engineer including tenures at Apple and IBM. At Apple, he developed the original digital camera software architecture which was acquired from Apple by Flashpoint. Hugh is a seasoned recruiter of talent, having built teams at both Flashpoint and the Concert from scratch. SCOTT CURTIS - CREATIVE DIRECTOR

 

Scott Curtis has well over 20 years of experience in interactive design, art direction and product management roles at design firms, ad agencies and technology companies. Prior to Concert, Mr. Curtis served in variety of art and creative direction roles for Sqor, Allposters.com and Art.com, including as Creative Director for the merged companies. Prior to Art.com he served as the Creative Director at LIPSinc Corporation where he directed product management for several of the company’s products. Mr. Curtis held senior design positions at Virtus Corporation from 1992 to 1998, and served as the Art Director for Virtus Studios, a services division spinoff. Mr. Curtis is a named inventor on over sixty issued patents. He also has a B.A. in Russian Studies from the University of Florida and an M.A. in Comparative Literature from the University of California, San Diego. GENE FARRELLY - ADVISOR

 

Gene Farrelly was a co-founder and the Vice President of Intellectual Property Services for Concert Technology. Prior to Concert, Mr. Farrelly filled various roles at FlashPoint Technology, including Operations Manager for the Qurio subsidiary. He holds 20+ technology patents and has over 10 years of experience in technology startups, including tenures in business development for LIPSinc and as account support for several Fortune 500 clients of Engineous Software. Mr. Farrelly holds a B.S. in Mathematics from Fordham University, a B.S. in Engineering from Case Western Reserve University, and an M.B.A. from North Carolina State University. Patents Linkedin

MIKE HELPINGSTINE - BUSINESS DEV

 

Mike Helpingstine is an independent writer and serial entrepreneur. He served as a patent acquisition analyst for Concert Technology from 2007 to 2014. Prior to joining Concert Technology, he was President of Ace Recruiter, Inc., serving Concert, Motorola, Hewlett-Packard and others with IT talent recruitment services.  Prior to Ace Recruiter, he was Vice-President of Sales, Marketing, and Business Development at LIPSinc Corporation, a maker of 3-D animation tools for the video game and entertainment industry. Mike served at Virtus Corporation, a virtual reality software company, from 1992 to 1998, in roles ranging from customer service, product management, and business solution sales. In 1983, Mr. Helpingstine co-founded Johnny T-Shirt, Inc., a leading UNC sportswear retailer in Chapel Hill, North Carolina.

SARAH Svendsen - director of corporate affairs

 

Sarah Svendsen holds a BA in Business Administration from North Carolina State University. Her career focus, both within small technical start-ups ( Concert Technology ) and large corporations ( Apple ) has been creative business marketing and sales. In 2017, she earned a Paralegal Certificate through NCSU University. She currently owns her own patent and technical illustration business. Linkedin

GREGory m. EVANS - ADVISOR

 

Greg Evans has over 30 years of experience in research and development for the telecom, military, and consumer product industries. His experience in intellectual property matters includes over ten years in disclosure review, prosecution, valuation, invalidity, infringement, litigation, and licensing support for various patents and portfolios.

 

Mr. Evans began his career with ITT Telecom in fiber optic system development. He has held various R&D positions including principal engineer, hardware manager, engineering director, and principal scientist for such companies as Broadband Technologies, ECI Telecom, MCNC, and Research Triangle Institute. Mr. Evans is a named inventor on over ninety issued patents. He has also consulted on federally funded research grants and conducted electronic circuit analyses for investigative research.

 

Mr. Evans is a registered patent agent before the United States Patent and Trademark Office and is a licensed professional engineer in the state of North Carolina. Linkedin.
